Gundam SEED (& Destiny)

Kidou Senshi Gundam SEED (Mobile Suit Gundam SEED) is an anime television series by Sunrise, directed by Mitsuo Fukuda, since 2002. The series is set during the Cosmic Era and it starts off with an ongoing war between Naturals and Coordinators (humans who had their genes altered before birth to give them abilities beyond a natural born human). The story then begins when a ZAFT team is sent on a mission to collect five prototype Gundams. Chaos errupts doing so and it even led a 16-year-old student named Kira Yamato, to pilot one of the Gundams. Little does he know, his life becomes part of the war and he encounters an old friend, Athrun Zala, part of the ZAFT team and their stories begins. Gundam SEED Destiny takes place two years after the story of Gundam SEED and still follows the story of Kira Yamato and Athrun Zala, but also along with 16-year-old Shinn Asuka.
