Neon Genesis Evangelion

Neon Genesis Evangelion is an anime series written and directed by Hideaki Anno and produced by Gainax since 1995. The story is about 14-year-old Shinji Ikari who was called out by his father, whom he was separated from for years to come to the city of Neo Tokyo-3. Even to his dismay he accepts his father's request and became the pilot of the Evangelion Unit 01 to fight off unknown invaders known as "Angels."
