How To Have Your Site Listed

To have your site listed in Viva Rock!, please read and consider the following information below. If you feel that your shrine is up to the expectation, by all means send me a form!

[ ! ] First and foremost, your shrine has to be dedicated to Japanese anime and/or manga subjects (characters, relationships and series only). Korean, American or other comics and animations are unacceptable.

On Content

1. Is it a shrine? For me, an ideal shrine is a mix of well researched information for subjects executed in both a resourceful and an analytical manner or either one. My approach for this directory is to provide visitors with character and relationship shrines that they can gain some form of an experience, whether it's learning something new or they can revisit for information. Confusing? Then please, I encourage you to visit some of the shrines already listed and perhaps you'll get a better idea of what is accepted.


2. Shrines with media or include fanlistings are also accepted, but it shouldn't overpower the written content/essays.


3. One-page shrines is a new (or not) way of creating shrines. I am now accepting such tributes and even though they do not compare to "full-blown" tributes or what one may call a "mini" shrine, it should still reflect the fact that it's well-researched. More information? Amassment, a LiveJournal shrine community recently hosted a one-page shrine marathon and you'll find good examples over there.


4. Shrines with ¾ of its section links down and are coming soon are not accepted.

On Viewing and Technicalities

1. I won't judge heavily on designs, but logically, having your website listed means it will be visited by others. Just make sure that it's easy on the eyes, the links are functioning and it's navigable.


2. Make sure that your website has cross-brower capabilities, especially for popular web browsers such as Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer and Safari.


3. Please provide the real URL of your shrine. There's nothing to hide and redirects are not amusing for some computers.

On Maintenance

1. Viva Rock! is a growing directory, so if you haven't seen the series of your shrine here yet, I will add it no problem.


2. I will perform site maintenances once in a while if links are still working. Unfortunately, I don't have the time or energy to hunt down your site's new link so it would be helpful if you would contact me using the same form you signed up on to contact me about your site's new URL.


3. I also add a few sites I like from time to time.

Admin Notes

1. I assure you that the rules for this directory are in no way "OMG!ELITIST," but I wouldn't want to just list any site for plugging/popularity purposes, so please do not feel discouraged if I choose to not list your site.


2. Overall, Viva Rock! is just a little place on the net to direct visitors seeking beautiful and wonderful anime and manga shrines, like me!
