Death Note

Death Note is manga that is written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata, since 2003. The anime part just started a few months ago. It is a about a high school student name Yagami Raito (Light), a brilliant, yet bored student who comes across a "Death Note" book one day. Reading the instructions placed in the book, it claims that if a human's name is written in the book, he/she will die. After a few experimentations and meeting a shinigami named Ryuk, he uses the Death Note to his advantage to pass judgement among criminals.
