Code Geass

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion is an anime series by Sunrise which is directed by Goroo Taniguchi and written by Ichiroo Ookouchi since 2006. The story takes place during 2010 a.t.b where the Holy Empire of Britannia overruled the Japanese forces and conquered the country using robotic weapons. Japan lost their freedom and was then renamed as Area 11. The Japanese were renamed as "Elevens" and were forced to live in ghettos. A 17-year-old student name Lelouch vows to win Japan back and destroy the Britannians. He meets a girl with mysterious powers which was then given to him and uses it to defeat Britannia.
